Magic Kingdom Replacing Train Station Welcome Show with new Castle Welcome

maxresdefault

Are you a fan of the Magic Kingdom Train Station Welcome show?  Well I’d catch it soon before it’s gone forever!  That’s right, Walt Disney World has decided to retire the show this coming January!

Starting January 9th, Guests will now be able to enter the Magic Kingdom park and stroll down Main Street U.S.A. early, before the actual scheduled opening time of the park.  This will allow Guests the opportunity for photo ops, breakfast offerings and even some light shopping before gathering in front of Cinderella’s Castle for a brand new Welcome Show located on the Castle Forecourt Stage. Photo Report: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

I love the end of the year because it holds my three favorite holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (in no particular order).  We already celebrated Halloween and even had the chance to go to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last month.  Now normally, people celebrate harvest, keep those brown/yellow/orange colors around a bit longer, and celebrate Thanksgiving, but here in Orlando, Christmas starts November 1 when the Magic Kingdom is flipped overnight from Halloween to Christmas!  And Mickey’s Very Christmas Party started on November 7th.

Normally, I prefer the Halloween party over the Christmas party for a number of reason, mostly being I’ve never really had an overly memorable experience at the Christmas party. It just never seemed to wow me like Halloween’s did.  But this year, all of that changed. Read the rest of this entry

Photo Report: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2016

It’s September in Orlando and that means Halloween season is here!  Mickeiy’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party began even earlier this year on Friday, September 2nd giving us more parties than ever and we had a chance to go on September 13th.  It started out with beautiful weather, but around 6, the clouds started rolling in. I dreaded the worst and feared we’d be repeated our disaster of a party from last year, but alas after 2 1/2 hours of rain, it cleared up and we were able to do everything we wanted to! CONFIRMED: “The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History” Coming to Magic Kingdom

A few weeks ago, we posted about the rumor that Muppets were coming to the Magic Kingdom.  And today, Disney Parks Blog has confirmed they are in fact coming to Liberty Square!  Check out the press release below!

Beginning this fall, the Muppets will be visiting Magic Kingdom Park, where they’ll take part in an all-new live show, “The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History.”

Sam Eagle, the fiercely patriotic American eagle who is forever trying to set a high moral standard for the Muppets, will join Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo and James Jefferson, town crier of Liberty Square, as they gather outside The Hall of Presidents to present historical tales in hysterical fashion as only they can. From the midnight ride of Paul Revere to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Muppets appear throughout the day to share with Guests, their own unique take on the founding fathers and the birth of the United States of America.

Featuring an original song and plenty of wacky Muppets humor, “The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History” will make its debut in October 2016.

Heritage-House-Magic-Kingdom-Walt-Disney-WorldSounds pretty fun if you ask me.  What do you think? Are you excited to see the Muppets coming to the Magic Kingdom or do you think they should only remain in Hollywood Studios?  I will say, I think it’s nice to add them into an area that typically doesn’t have too much entertainment to offer as a whole.  Tell us what you think in the comments.

BREAKING: The Muppets Are Coming to the Magic Kingdom in a New Attraction

Sam_myspaceAs reported by WDWNT, the Magic Kingdom will apparently be gaining some new members to its family.  According to reports, the Muppets are coming to Liberty Square’s Heritage House.  That’s correct. The Heritage House has been under a facade refurbishment for some time which now seems to apparently have been for installing this new addition/attraction.

When it premieres, the Heritage House will now feature The Muppets interacting with Guests by teaching them about U.S. history.  The Muppet characters will be located in the second story windows of Liberty Square’s Heritage House and have reportedly been built from a collaboration between the Jim Henson company and WDI.  I imagine they will be something quite spectacular. The Top 5 Restaurants at Magic Kingdom

I’ve been running this blog for just over a year now and have decided to finally start writing a new type of articles: lists!  Everyone loves a good list of things.  Whether its restaurants to sample, rides to try, the best drinks to buy, hidden gems you may not know about, or even things you may NOT want to do.  One of the best things at Walt Disney World is its food offerings.  From full service restaurants, whether they be over-the-top theming or signature dining, to quick service restaurants, and from lounges to food carts, everyone has a favorite!  I have multiple in many locations.  I can’t think of a better way to start these new articles than to list my picks for Magic Kingdom’s Top 5 table service restaurants!
